An exhibition and symposium series curated by Cassandra Edlefsen Lasch and Annabelle von Girsewald 4, 5

Inspired by both Georges Perec’s Espèces d‘espaces (Species of Space, 1974) and the Icelandic artist Hreinn
House Project (1974–), the series models revisitation as a multi-layered reflection on locality
and identity. After the exhibition “homecomings”
homecomings 2013 (pdf) and an international symposium Images,
homecomings, etc. Symposium 2014 (pdf) and parallel events, Images, Returning to homecomings 2014 (pdf) the group exhibition
PROJECTIVE SPACE” extends questions of projected futures and recursive architectures,
mirrored within the rubrics of artistic production.

For its duration, “homecomings: PROJECTIVE SPACE” will host a comprehensive program of events. 2
homecomings 1
The project began in Fall 2013 with a group exhibition “homecomings” in a former horse stall in Berlin-Friedrichshain,
BOX Freiraum. It continued with a symposium at Aedes Network Campus Berlin and the parallel events “Returning to
homecomings” in Fall 2014. After the coming Spring 2015 exhibition, a publication with Archive Books will launch in
Fall 2015
